Use Service to Boost Your Management Skill – part 4 of 4

Here are some Key Questions to help you build your management skills.

  • How will managing as servant leader impact your team’s morale, productivity and profitability?

  • How are you perceived by your “followers?” Be courageous and find out. Then, like all great manager-leaders, use that information to make changes within yourself to better meet your staff ’s needs. When you meet their needs, they will be more inclined to meet yours. That is the wonderful mutuality of being a servant leader.

• How do you think staff perceive you now?

• How do you feel at this time about being or becoming a servant        leader?

• What would you need to do to be of greater service?

• Have you performed acts of service in the past week? If so, what    were they and what impacts did they have?

• How might my modeling servant leadership impact your team?

  • How will managing as servant leader impact your team’s morale, productivity and profitability?
